Pencil Artist Of The Week: Ebony-Blade

This week’s featured artist is Ebony-Blade a mixed media artist from the US who creates wonderful portraits of people, wildlife and scenery.

EB primarily uses a range of woodless and traditional graphite pencils ranging from 2H all the way to 8B. She also utilizes an ebony pencil for creating thick, dark lines. In addition to the pencils, she uses kneaded erasers and a blending stump to add detail to her graphite drawings.

Her owl drawing “Night Hunter” is one of my personal favorites. It’s an intense piece featuring the use of ebony pencils, the blending stump, kneaded eraser and graphite pencils.
