Pencil Artist of the Week: Megan Humphries

This week’s featured artist is Megan Humphries, a UK based pencil artist who creates graphite and color pencil portraits of household pets and wildlife using color and graphite pencils.

Megan is a self taught artist who uses Faber Castell Polychromos color pencils primarily. Using photographs of her subjects, Megan’s specialty is creating highly detailed, realistic portraits of pets, capturing their essence and personality on paper. She often creates portraits of cats and dogs. Although, as a commission artist, she also creates portraits of various wildlife, people, and scenery.
