Product Profile: The Exotic Pencils of Caran d’Ache

Les Crayons de la Maison Caran d’Ache is an exotic pencil set featuring four individual pencils crafted out of four rare species of wood. The result is a visually striking set that belongs in any pencil enthusiast’s collection.

The set’s packaging is simple, yet elegant. Its shimmering black box features the Caran d’Ache logo printed in silver and a hexagonal shaped reveal window that shows off the pencils and pays homage to their iconic shape.

Inside, the four pencils are pre-sharpened, giving you a detailed look at the wood used to craft each one. The woods used in this set are Macassar Ebony, Titanium Oak, American Walnut, and Lati gris, and this is where the set really shines.

Macassar Ebony

Macassar Ebony features a deep brown base mixed with bright streaks of beige to create a unique wood grain pattern unlike any other pencil we’ve seen.

Titanium Oak

Titanium wood features the matte grey color of titanium (thus the name), streaked with bright blues and beiges to give this pencil a timeless, elegant look.

American Walnut
