Pencil Artist of the Week: Victoria General

This week’s featured pencil artist is Victoria General, a pencil artist from Canada who creates drawings and paintings of landscapes, portraits and more.

Victoria’s subjects are depicted in what I can only describe as a haunting style. Solid lines and details are often obscured in favor of shading and textured strokes, giving her drawings and paintings the look of old, faded photographs. Her paintings are painting in a similar style, giving her entire gallery a uniform, cohesive look. 

Victoria uses willow sticks for her charcoal work and Prismacolor color pencils for her color pencil drawings.
