Pencil Artist of the Week: Anna Eglantine

This week’s featured pencil artist is Anna Eglantine, a freelance artist and illustrator based in Lyon, France. Anna creates extremely detailed drawings using a variety of tools, including pencils and pens:

“I like to create detailed and contrast drawings. I mostly use Faber-Castell and Prismacolor colored pencils, as well as Pigma Micron Fineliners and black Bic Cristal medium ballpoint pens that allow me to go deeper on details. I usually draw on layout paper for blending pigments of colored pencils together using a Promarker blender.”

Though extremely detailed, the subjects of Anna’s drawings are mostly surreal. One drawing, which can be seen in her DeviantArt gallery, features a woman staring into a mirror, only to be greeted with the face of a platypus, while another features a hermit crab with a Russian spire as its shell.
