Pencil Artist of the Week: Andrea Urosevic

Pencil Artist Andrea Urosevic

This week’s featured artist is Andrea Urosevic, a pencil artist from Serbia who creates graphite pencil drawings in a number styles and with a wide assortment of tools. Her drawings range from simple doodles to extremely detailed sketches and she claims she will “draw/paint with everything [she] get[s] [her] hands on.”

Andrea uses Koh-I-Noor, Staedler, Faber-Castell and Stabilo pencils randing from 2h for sketching to 5B for everything else (though she has been known to go wild with 8B pencils). She also uses Uni Pin pens for inking, and markers and ink when a drawing calls for it.

My favorite drawing in Andrea’s DeviantArt gallery is actually a collection of drawings titled “Unfinished Business.” The image is a collage of around 50 individual sketches which, together, form a tapestry of the artist. According the description, this is what happens when Andrea gets her hands on a scanner.
