Pencil Artist of the Week: Steve Prescott

This week’s featured pencil artist was recommended to us by one of our followers on Twitter. His name is Steve Prescott, and he is a fantasy artist living in Columbus, Ohio. He also claims that he isn’t a poet, but the images he creates with a pencil can definitely be described as poetry on paper.

The subjects of Steve’s drawings are fantasy characters of his own creation and, while they range from multi-eyed monsters to viking warriors, each drawing possesses Steve’s distinct style and art direction. This cohesiveness allows you to not only appreciate the artistic ability it takes to create these drawings, but also the imagination and creativity it takes to conjure up his subjects and the worlds they inhabit.

Steve’s blog features his recently uploaded sketches and finished drawings. He updates his blog often, so check back frequently to see what he’s been working on.
