6 Earth Day Deeds
Earth Day helps us remember that there are alternative, non-wasteful ways to spend our time. Luckily, being green can benefit your pocketbook as much as it benefits the earth. The following list contains 6 Earth Day deeds for rookies and experienced Earth Day-ers who want repurpose objects and break wasteful habits. But why stop at Earth Day? Practice these deeds year-round and make every day Earth Day!
1) Draw…
on an old newspaper instead of a new sheet with an FSC-certified pencil.

2) Save rubber
Create a custom stamp by slitting an old eraser with any sharp blade. You don’t need to buy a new one!

3) Upcycle textbooks, old papers and doodles you don’t want…
into a writing utensil desk holder.

4) Get creative
Need smaller knitting needles or lose one? Use pencils instead of buying a new set.

Use pencil shavings for kindling in a fire. Having a fire can cut down on heating bills and electricity use.
