Pencil Artist of the Week: Audrey Kawasaki

This week’s featured pencil artist is Audrew Kawasaki. This piece was featured on graphic designer Soraan Latif’s Tumblr blog, called Blarggggg (I hope I have enough “g”s in there). It’s a geisha, drawn in contemporary Japanese style, on a block of wood.

Notice the strong, sure, sharp lines from the pencil drawing — it must have been razor sharp when used, and the wood must be very smooth to accept that shading.
