Pencil Artist of the Week: Alex Ruiz

This week’s featured pencil artist is Alex Ruiz, a US base graphite artist who creates portraits of horror and science fiction icons.

Alex’s primary tools are Tombow graphite grades 4B-6B. In addition to pencils, Alex also utilizes water color tubes, color pencils, and white ink pens for highlights on his pieces. His portraits often feature several series’ of lines to create depth and add background to them. Check out some samples of his work below.
