Pencil Artist of the Week: Mayumi Ogihara

This week’s featured pencil artist is Mayumi Ogihara, a self-taught pencil artist who works with both graphite and color pencils. Mayumi is originally from Japan but she is currently living in Duncan, BC, where she can draw, work and create with her husband and two sons.

The subjects of Mayumi’s drawings range from realistic portraits to fantastical representations of witches, fairies, evil queens and more. Regardless of the subject of a particular work, each drawing is created with skill and an exquisite attention to detail.
