Interviews with Guy Clark
Last week, legendary songwriter and artist Guy Clark released his first studio album in four years. The album features eleven new tracks, ten of which were written by Clark along with a group of Nashville A-Listers, including Rodney Crowell, Shawn Camp and Jedd Hughes. Also included is a beautiful rendition of Lyle Lovett’s “Waltzing Fool”. The title track, “My Favorite Picture of You”, pays tribute to his late wife Susanna who passed away last summer.
Clark has suffered from numerous health issues in recent years so new music, and interviews, have been rare. Highlighted by an astute cover story from American Songwriter’s Marissa Moss, Studio 602 has gathered a library of the best interviews written in the past week that provide poignant insight into Guy’s life, career and songwriting process.

Lastly, watch Ted Russell Kamp perform Guy’s classic “Let Him Roll” and break down what makes it one of the best songs ever written.

Have never tried Blackwing pencils. I write song lyrics and love to sketch as well. It seems there are several types of Blackwing pencils, yes? Maybe there is a way to sample all, without spending a ton of money? Please advise. Thank you!
