5 Notebook Blogs to Follow

Notebook Stories

Notebook Stories is a blog run by Nifty, a self-proclaimed notebook addict that is dedicated to the pursuit of the perfect page. It focuses on notebooks, journals, sketchbooks and diaries, and provides readers with notebook reviews, personal anecdotes and Nifty’s musings on the latest notebook news. It also features notebook tips, links to other notebook resources and profiles on notebook users from around the world. Nifty’s notebook collection is growing every day, as are the site’s followers. Can you help Nifty find the perfect notebook?

Moleskinerie

Moleskinerie is the official blog of Moleskine notebooks, perhaps the most well known notebook brand in the world. The blog features artwork, contests and notebook news, as well as profiles of notebook users, both famous and unknown. Here, you can also read the stories and legends behind Moleskine notebooks and the people that use them. There is something inexplicably yet undeniably inspirational about artists using ordinary items to create extraordinary works of art.

Skine.Art

Skineart.com is a place where notebook artists of all types can submit their artwork exactly as it appears in their notebooks. No computer editing, no image cropping, just scanning and uploading. The blog features a number of regular contributors, including Uncle Bob, who was our Pencil Artist of the Week back in December of last year. Some submitted works may be classified as doodles, while others may be deemed illustrations or drawings. Regardless of its classification, every piece submitted is a work of art that showcases the versatility of the common notebook. If you want to have your art featured as Skine Art, you can register to submit your work here. And, don’t worry, we won’t tell them that it’s really Palomino Art you’re submitting.

Notebookism

It’s all in the name. Notebookism is a blog committed to providing readers with notebook related news, product reviews and stories. It is also a place where you can browse notebook art and participate in one of the blog’s weekly “Blank Page” notebook discussions. Since Notebookism is dedicated to all things notebook related, it features posts on pencils, pens and the like in addition to its regular notebook fare. Just last week, there was even a post about Alex Beam’s “Better than an iPad” Palomino Blackwing video. Notebookism is back after a year-long hiatus, so drop in and show them some love!

Rhodia Drive

Rhodia Drive is the official blog of Rhodia notebooks, the French notebook known for its bright orange cover. The blog features the usual offerings of notebook news, previews and stories. In addition to this, it also features a photo section where readers can submit photos to be featured on the site. You can submit photos of your favorite pen or the doodle you drew on the cover of your notebook, or  you can show the versatility of your notebook by submitting photos of it on your desk, in your bag or on the road. More than that, you can connect with other notebook users and share your love of notebooks of all types.
