Tombow Products Now Available at Pencils.com!

Pencils.com is proud to announce that, in addition to our new Kitaboshi products,we are now carrying a selection of products from Tombow Pencil Company. Tombow has long been one of Japan’s premier pencil manufacturers.

New Tombow Products

Tombow

First up is the Tombow Mono professional drawing pencil set. These pencils are high-quality graphite pencils that are comparable to our own Palomino line in drawing and writing performance. These Monos cover grades 6B down to 4H, and come 12 to a pack in a hard plastic tray with a clear lid. They have a hexagonal shape, the classic Mono black glossy lacquer finish and stylish eraser-less end dip finish.  If you’re worried about mistakes, however, don’t worry; we have another Tombow product just for you.

Our next Tombow offering is Tombow’s Mono NP eraser. This eraser is made of a synthetic rubber that removes marks cleanly without damaging the paper. Its sleeve is made of 100% recycled pulp and the eraser itself is made of non-PVC materials, making it both efficient and environmentally friendly. The Mono NP eraser is a perfect complement to Tombow’s own Mono pencils or any other pencils you purchase from the Pencils.com store.  In fact we like it so much we’ve added this eraser to the bundle set for our Palomino Luxury Sketch Kit.

The final Tombow products we’ve added are Tombow’s Irojiten color pencil sets. These color pencils aren’t made up of your every day ROYGBIV colors. In fact, Irojiten is the Japanese expression for “color encyclopedia,” and that is exactly what the Tombow Irojiten color pencil set is.

There are actually three different Irojiten color pencil sets that make up the encyclopedia: Rainforest, Woodlands and Seascape. Each of these three themed color tone sets include 30 pencils, which are then broken down into three separate 10 pencil volumes of color intensity; Vivid, Deep and Pale. All three sets together make up the entire encyclopedia of nine volumes and contain a total of 90 different pencils. Each volume is packaged in lovely book-like style, and each of the Rainforest, Woodlands, and Seascape sets has a separate sleeve cover.

This color pencil set is for the artist that knows and appreciates the difference between red-orange and orange-red, but also wants all of the colors in between. It is also the largest color pencil set we offer on the Pencils.com store. You can purchase each 30 pencil set separately, or you can purchase the entire encyclopedia at the discounted price of $159.95. The Holiday promotional price on the Irojiten range is only available through the end of 2011, so don’t miss out!

We hope that you enjoy these Tombow additions to the Pencils.com store. If you haven’t already, check out the Kitaboshi products we are now carrying and keep celebrating the Japanese pencil industry with Pencils.com!
