Pencil Artist of the Week: Dino Tomic

This week’s featured pencil artist is Dino Tomic, a tattoo artist, traditional painter, digital painter, and pencil artist living in Norway. Though his passion is his tattoo art (which is amazing, by the way), it was his color pencil portraits that grabbed my attention.

Dino creates color pencil portraits that are so lifelike and vibrant, you would swear they were photographs or digital reproductions. It’s difficult to believe that he can achieve such vivid pigments using the same wax color pencils I’ve used countless times.

Dino’s works are often portraits, but they vary in size. Whether his pieces are done on a standard piece of art paper or a five-foot tall sheet, however, they are always breathtaking.
