Pencil Artist of the Week: Allen Williams

The work from this week’s pencil artist strays slightly from the pencil portraits and landscapes that we have featured in the past, but that is in no way a bad thing. His name is Allen Williams, and his pencil work features some of the most surreal and whimsical subjects we’ve ever featured on Pencils.com.

These subjects range from elephant/octopus hybrids to horned creatures from another world. In fact, many of his subjects are difficult to classify or describe, because they all come from the mind of the artist. Some pieces also seem to have a sort “stream of consciousness” (for lack of a better phrase) look to them, as if the movement of the pencil defined the shape of the subject as much as the artist himself.
