The Importance of Teachers
Celebrate National Teacher Appreciation Week
It’s National Teacher Appreciation Week. We can rant and rave all day about the importance of teachers and why you should take a moment to acknowledge a special influence in your life. Instead, we thought it would be fun to take a look at what others have to say on the subject. One of our favorite quotes comes from Alexander the Great:
“I am indebted to my father for living, but to my teacher for living well”
Another good one from former Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall:
“None of us got where we are solely by pulling ourselves up by our bootstraps. We got here because a teacher bent down and helped us pick up our boots.”
You can visit the official Teacher Appreciation Day website to view dozens of famous quotes about education. We encourage you to write a note (with a Palomino Blackwing perhaps?) or even send a simple email or Facebook message to a special teacher in your life. Maybe some of these quotes will help you get started.
