Pencil Artist of the Week: Sharon Frank Mazgaj

High-quality color pencil art is hard to find, so when we come across an artist as talented as this week’s featured pencil artist, we take notice. Her name is Sharon Frank Mazgaj, and she is a color pencil artist from Sandyville, Ohio. And, if you’re anything like us, her color pencil art will leave you wanting to pick up a set of your favorite color pencils and draw the world around.

Sharon’s pieces are generally still lifes, but their subjects vary. Several of her pieces depict statues, while others are depictions of fruit, flowers and toys. Regardless of the subject, each piece shows a level of talent and appreciation for the color pencil medium that can’t be ignored. Her work has been accepted into Color Pencil Society of America (CPSA) International Exhibits and she has been featured in American Artist Magazine.
