As previously stated, the Dahle 133 is a good all-around pencil sharpener. One of the great features of this pencil is that it has an adjustable point when sharpening, preventing any over-sharpening of soft cores like wax and charcoal.

Triangular Pencils
Most standard sized triangular pencils can work in almost any standard sharpener, however, jumbo triangular pencils like the Koh-I-Noor Triograph may be troublesome. Thankfully, the Dahle 133 is up for the task.
Carpenter Pencil
Carpenter pencils are usually sharpened using a utility knife or blade, however, there is one sharpener that will nicely sharpen most standard carpenter pencils.

Oh my how can I forget! The only one we have at the moment is the Dahle 2mm Lead pointer.
Is the Matterhorn special edition actually larger than the standard Caran d’Arche sharpener, or is it just an optical illusion?

I have a carpenters pencil sharpener that looks like an oversized compact sharpener. But it did not work at all.
